We make it easy to join a group of a local chicken keepers. Cost of membership covers the materials, labor, feeders, waterers, and hens. Per year, 12 hen will lay around $2,000 in fresh eggs. Therefore, you can pay for you coop in just 1 year.  You should expect 12 hens to produce around 3dz eggs a week. This design has been tried and tested to optimize usability, chicken health and happiness, and keep costs down. We also offer a premium, custom built option for $8,000 that doesn't have any plastic tarps. Installation is in the early summer when the young hens, called pullets, and just starting to lay.
